Google Tools
You are probably used to using Google Toolbar, possibly Google Maps, Gmail and Calender but here are a few other usefull tools to help organise your online life
Google Notebook
- Clip useful information. You can add clippings of text, images and links from web pages to your Google Notebook without ever leaving your browser window.
- Organize your notes. You can create multiple notebooks, divide them into sections, and drag-and-drop your notes to stay organized.
- Publish your notebook. You can share your Google Notebook with friend and colleagues.
Get access from anywhere. You can access your Google Notebooks from any computer by using your Google Accounts login.
Installing and using Notebook
- To use Google Notebook, go to Google Notebook, sign in or open a Google account to activate Google Notebook.
- Once you have signed into Google Notebook you will see a link at the top of the page “Download the browser extension”. This installs software on your PC that allows you to use more features (described below). Install the software.
- After Google Notebook software is installed you will see a small blue notebook icon at the bottom right of your web browser. Click on this icon and it displays your notebooks.
- Its best to add a new notebook for each topic you are researching. Open notebook by clicking on the notebook icon in the right hand corner of your browser, pull down the “Actions” box and select “New notebook”, for example name this “Travel info”. When you get to a webpage with some usefull information you wish to save, select the text to save, click your right hand mouse key and select “Note this (Google Notepad)” this information will be added to your “Travel info” notebook (or the notebook you last selected).
- Another way to add a notes, is to open Google Notebook by clicking the icon and then pressing the “Add note” button. Type in text and then click save. Google Notebook automatically saves the website address.
Hello from Russia!
Can I quote a post in your blog with the link to you?
Nice blog, just book marked it for later reference
Dear Author http://www.pcbackuphelp.com !
In my opinion you are mistaken. Let’s discuss it.
I usually don’t post in Blogs but i found this interesting thanks
I previously owned one of the 1st gen 7″ Asus Eee machines, and an Acer Aspire One netbook, and I can definitely say that this is the best machine of the bunch !
I purchased the white one, since the blue one seems to be on backorder forever. The matte screen is nice and easy to read, the keyboard is AWESOME – I can touch type without any issues whatsoever. Battery life is incredible – I am easily getting 6 or 7 hours a charge, without paying attention to conserving power at all. Also, one of the things I like the most is that the balance is right – there is enough weight below the keyboard that it wants to sit like a regular notebook. On the Acer Aspire One, the screen weighs about as much as the keyboard, so it always wants to tip back… Another minor positive is that the slip case is better than the Acer Aspire one – it’s sort of a fake-suede bag with a flip cover. Finally, it came with very little bloatware on it – I uninstalled the trial of McCafee and installed the free AVG antivirus software, and that’s about it…
This is a very slick little machine. If you can handle the extra weight vs. the 9″ models like the Acer Aspire One, this seems to be about as good as it gets !
What a gem. I found your blog on Google searching for something completely unrelated- now I’m going to have to go back and read through the archives! So much for my free time today, but this was a great find
I just read a great article on registry and PC optimization at Ezine articles. Here is the link http://ezinearticles.com/?Why-Choosing-the-Right-Windows-Registry-Cleaner-is-Crucial
I want to quote your post in my blog. It can?
And you et an account on Twitter?
Thank you so much for this awesome post, this was exactly what I needed to see
This is just so cool Thankyou for putting this online.
This netbook was a replacement from Acer Inspire One which came with an incorrect keyboard layout. Return to Amazon for refund. I’m glad I did, this Samsung is awesome. Just received my “Blue” Samsung NC10 today. Don’t understand why the Blue netbook is $20 more than the White netbook. Initial setup took about 10 minutes to get to Start menu. The only fault I could find would be the speakers, they OK. Was not expecting 5:1 surround sound. The fan is absolutely quite and the netbook was almost cold. My HP notebook get way warmer. If your planning on removing McAfee, do this before connecting to the Net else it installs automatically. I replace this with AVG security. There is no MS office or Works 30 days trials, just some Samsung software like User Guide, Update Plus, Network manager. I decided to keep mine. Of all the reviews I have read there were only four minor consistent complaints:
1. Blue color not available. Available now.
2. Speakers not the greatest. No 5:1 surround, but OK.
3. Scroll pad to small. It’s a netbook not notebook.
4. Single touch pad bar. Dislike at first, Tried it and now I like it.
The main things I love is the battery life, keyboard layout, matted finish, the overall look
Thanks for the great post. I always like to bookmark construction or concrete related posts like this one.
