Mozy Tips

30-day file versioning feature

If you inadvertently save a change to a file, there’s no need to worry. Mozy saves previous versions of your files for 30 days. Just restore a previous version and continue your work. Reminder: You’ll always have access to the latest backup of your files, but previous file versions and files deleted from your computer are discarded from the Mozy data centers after 30 days.

Forgot your password

If you’ve forgotten your password and cannot access your MozyHome account online, you can reset it on our website. To do so:

  • Visit https://mozy.com/login and select Forgot your password?
  • Enter your email address, then click Continue. An email is sent to the listed email address with a link to reset your password. Click the link in the email.
  • Enter your new password (at least 8 characters long), then click Continue. Your password has been changed.

Once you have changed your password, be sure to change it in the Mozy software on your computer as well. If you don’t, Mozy won’t be able to keep backing up! To change your password there:

  • Right-click the MozyHome icon in the system tray, then click Configure. (Mac users: Click the MozyHome icon in the menu bar, then choose Open MozyHome.)
  • When prompted for your password, type your new password in the appropriate field. Click Log In.
